This is open source software that I happily pay for, and consider (for my use case) superior to closed source (Adobe). I personally love using Krita, regardless of what the underlying operating system is.

In some instances it certainly is, but in other instances there are open source products that are superior to commercial. I don't think we can say as a rule that all commercial software is more professional than open source software.
